It’s probably safe to say that this is the first reported case of a pronghorn antelope knocking a drone out of the sky.

An amateur wildlife photographer was filming a pronghorn somewhere in Clarendon, Texas when the unexpected happened. The pronghorn was startled by the drone flying near by and it started to run away. After realizing the drone was still following it the animal stood its ground and the drone continued closer. Finally the drone was within striking distance and the pronghorn headbutted it out of the sky.

We are not sure what circumstances led up to this situation, but it could be construed as wildlife harassment. Remember, do not bother or attempt to interact with animals in the wild unless you are a trained wildlife official.

No, drones aren’t annoying… totally being sarcastic. Point to the Antelope. Drone, you lose. From WFAA-TV

  1. I love this video. I would of done the same but with a shotgun. I can just imagine the nonsense being done with these drones, crazy. Isn’t this a form of wildlife harassment?.

    1. Why would you shoot a drone out of the sky? It just causes more danger such as falling drone bits, flammable battery bits reacting with the oxygen in the air to ignite, etc. Also discharging your firearm into an aircraft is a federal offence.

  2. I am sick and tired of liberals ranting about drones are dangerous and wildlife harassment. If it were not for video footage we would not get some of the most useful information. So what is the difference between man filming and a quad (drone)? Seems a drone would be less intrusive to wildlife than man.
