Video: Concrete Shotgun Slugs Pulverize Targets

Are concrete shotguns slugs better, stronger, and more effective that wax type slugs? YouTube experimenter Taofledermaus is at it again and this time he is testing custom hybrid slugs. Essentially a concrete mixture with lead shot, what’s interesting here is that the cut shell that houses the slug is actually loaded backwards. Otherwise, the pressure of shooting it would cause the slug to slide back and be destroyed.

So are concrete slugs better than wax ones? Well, not really. They’re inaccurate, clunky, and failed plenty. One good thing is the awesome display you get when a concrete slug hits a hard target. Not only will that target defintely reflect being hit with a chunk of concrete—and lead shot—but the slug itself will also disintegrate. Pretty cool, but not very practical.
