Video: Turkey Hunter Attacked by Bobcat

Sometimes making a turkey call is riskier than it seems. It doesn’t happen often, but sometimes you will find yourself attracting small predators such as bobcats and coyotes. On one hand, you can take it as a compliment for your calling skills, but on the other—nobody really wants to be mistaken for a turkey. This video of what appears to be a bobcat stalking a hunter recently made the rounds online, racking up nearly two million views. While the video itself is interesting enough, it seems that viewers are more focused on debating whether it was really a bobcat in the video, or if the hunter was going after different game than turkey.

From what we can see in the footage, the critter does appear to be a bobcat, rather than something like a juvenile mountain lion. At least we hope so for the hunter’s sake. A cougar that small is bound to have mother nearby…
