These close-up trail cam photos show a mountain lion and bears feasting on a deer kill in the Santa Susana Mountains just north of Los Angeles.

The mountain lion featured in the photos is actually a very well-known to biologists. It’s referred to as P-35 and it has been extensively tracked around the Los Angeles area. According to  National Park Service spokesman Zach Behrens the photographs were taken in the Santa Susana Mountains just 30 miles northwest of the Los Angeles Zoo.

It’s amazing to think that are large predators living so close to one of the largest cities in the USA.
