Drone Captures Live Strike from Monster Pike
OutdoorHub Reporters 07.07.16
Thanks to some nifty drone work, we’re able to watch a monster pike chase down, and viciously strike from an elevated point of view.
Technology is advancing every day, allowing us to see things in ways we have never seen before. These advances are perfect for turning ordinary and unremarkable fishing videos into something you’ll want to watch over and over again.
Fishing videos in the past have had us glued to the television to see ultimately what will be pulled out of the water. Using today’s drone technology, however, we are now able to see fishing in a whole new light.
In this clip, Andersen Brothers Outdoors gives us a brand-new perspective of catching a trophy northern pike from a bird’s-eye point of view. When Scott Lake Lodge fishing guide, Matt Cornell, casts and begins to reel in, you can watch from above as the pike emerges from below and locks onto his bait. Like a predator, the fish stalks the bait all the way to the boat.
Kudos to Joe and Jeff Andersen on a truly remarkable video. Simply watch and enjoy.
