Most men and women who love to hunt, fish and spend time outdoors have attended a rodeo at some time in their life. And while chances are good you’ve never attempted to go 8 seconds on a bull, you’ve probably wondered how bull riders began in such an extreme sport.
Meet the Mutton Busters of Lampasas, Texas, home of some the greatest bull riders that have ever lived. Here, the tradition of rodeo, and specifically bull riding, is introduced to kids in a sport called mutton bustin. Instead of bulls, the kids attempt to ride sheep. And as you can imagine, the falls are many and wildly entertaining.
