Gun Legislation Could Make Michigan a Constitutional Carry State

On February 2, four Michigan lawmakers introduced bills that would make Michigan the next state in the U.S, where constitutional carry is allowed.
If the legislation passes, Michigan will join the list of six minority states that allow concealed carry without a permit. Currently, concealed handguns, without government-issued permits, are allowed in Alaska, Arizona, Kansas, Maine, Vermont and Wyoming.
Regulations of the law vary from state to state, reports mlive. For example, in Vermont, you would spend an awful lot of time searching for laws on concealed pistols simply because there aren’t any on the books, making them legal. In Wyoming, however, concealed carry is allowed for residents only.
Other states such as Colorado are also considering such legislation.
This Michigan legislation is only in its beginning phase, so Michiganders will have to wait patiently for word on this one. We will be sure to let you know all the details as it unfolds.
