Video: News Chopper Spots Gator Eating Body of Plane Crash Victim in Florida Everglades

A plane crash in the Florida Everglades was discovered four days after the plane took off on an unauthorized trip from a flight school, and when the news chopper flew over the crash sight, it captured an eerie sight.

A local news chopper with WPLG headed to the scene, where footage shows a body laying in the swamp near the wrecked plane – and an alligator sitting nearby chomping on said body.

“A gator appears to be chewing on a body next to the wreckage,” WPLG managing editor Peter Burke wrote on Twitter.

As of now, the FAA and National Transportation Safety Board are investigating the accident.
