Video: Authorities Tie Suspects in Shark-Dragging Case to MTV Reality Show ‘Siesta Key’

The following is an update from a previous report where we saw a group of morons dragging a shark behind a boat.
It turns out, this bizarre and twisted video is connected to an MTV reality show, because the star of the show – Alex Kompothecras – is reportedly friends with one of the individuals in the video.
Since the video went viral on social media, the cast of MTV’s Siesta Key began receiving death threats, and was even forced to cancel a premiere party for their debut episode. Most of the backlash is tailored around the clip of one of Kompothecras’ friends dragging a shark behind a boat.
According to Rolling Stone, however, Alex says he had nothing to do with the shark video, and absolutely doesn’t agree with what his friend did.
“I had absolutely nothing to do with the shark video,” he reportedly wrote in a post that has since been deleted. “Yes he’s a friend of mine, but no I don’t agree with what he did. Check your facts before you go posting on my page. Thanks.”
Obviously frustrated, Alex assuredly learned a good lesson through this: Be careful who you make friends with, because even their moronic stunts can trickle into your own life.
