Must-See Video: Michigan Man Films Ghostly Figure Swimming Underneath the Ice

Cue the Jaws theme music; a man fishing with his daughter on Michigan’s Burt Lake caught a glimpse of a ghostly figure swimming below the ice, and it captivated more than 200K viewers on Facebook.

To those with little or no experience out on hard water, it sort of does look like a shark with the way it moves, but the man who captured it on video knows this ghostly figure is likely just a large sturgeon. (Turn up the volume to hear the Facebook video.)

The video was filmed on a lake in Cheboygan County, Michigan, the same county that also produced a 193-pound sturgeon back in 1974 – the largest ever caught in Michigan.

Judging by the look of this fish, it could potentially give its predecessor a good run for the title!
