Spearfishing through the ice is sometimes referred to as ‘bowhunting for fish,’ and it can certainly feel that way sometimes. Spearing Alaskan whitefish is an enjoyable and entertaining method of gathering some fresh-caught wild game meat, and when you share a shanty with Steven Rinella, you know a good shore lunch is also in store at the end of the day!
