Video: Enraged Rhino Flips Zookeeper’s Car Multiple Times at German Safari Park

An enraged rhino at a German safari park proceeded to attack and flip a car multiple times, all while a zookeeper was hopelessly stuck inside.

The frightening attack was filmed by a visitor at the Serengeti Park in Hodenhagen, a municipality in the German state of Lower Saxoy. The rhino is seen in the video below slamming into the side of a small hatchback, and tossing it around as if it were a Hotwheels toy car.

The manager of the Serengeti Park, Fabrizo Sepe, said the zookeeper inside the car escaped the horrific attack “mostly unscathed,” walking away with only a few minor bumps and bruises.

Park officials remain unsure as to what could have triggered the rhino to attack the way it did.

According to Deutsche Welle, the rhino – who has been living inside the park for 18 months – is only allowed onto park premises in the mornings and evenings after visitors have vacated the park.

Sepe suggested the rhino may be better off in a zoo environment, but added the rhinoceros is a “very valuable animal” given to the park for breeding purposes.
