[ATA Show 2020] Ravin Expands Lineup – R29 Sniper Package, R29X & R29X Sniper Package

Ravin Crossbows is leading the industry with their crossbows and associated technology every year, and that will continue in 2020. At the Archery Trade Association (ATA) Show in Indianapolis they announced 3 NEW models for 2020: R29 Sniper Package, R29X, and the R29X Sniper Package. All of these new models are fairly similar, but at the same time they have important differences that distinguish themselves from one another. Let’s dive in and take a look at all of them.

Ravin R29 Predator Dusk Camo Crossbow (Sniper Package)

The new Ravin R29 Sniper Package is going to be 5 1/2″ shorter in overall length than their R20 while still launching a bolt at 430 FPS. It is also a lighter crossbow to carry into the woods hunting, smaller footprint to maneuver through brush, and it is a mere 6″ from axle-to-axle. The ergonomic front grip makes it easy to shoot in tight quarters where it might be otherwise difficult with competing crossbows. The R29 Sniper Package carries over all of the original traits of the R29, but adds in extra features to draw out even more range and accuracy from this package. It comes with a Bubble Level for the scope, an improved 1-8x24mm Tactical Scope, and a Jack Plate to adjust for elevation. The R29 Sniper Package also boasts Ravin’s new Silent Cocking System which is new for 2020. Finally, the R29 Sniper Package includes 6 Premium Ravin .001 Arrows & Field Tips (400 Grain Total).

The brand new R29X features Ravin’s new Silent Cocking System and pushes the limits of speed out of this cross bow to 450+ FPS. It simultaneously remains very compact by having an overall length of 29″ and an axle-to-axle width of only 6″.
