Bushnell Introduces the New BackTrack Mini Handheld GPS

Modern Smartphones are great navigation devices provided you’re in range of a cell tower or have a dedicated offline map system and a suitable GPS in your phone. However, one thing that your smartphone can’t do is operate for up to 34 or more hours without needing to recharge. The new Bushnell BackTrack Mini is the latest and greatest when it comes to minimalist GPS units that allow you to upload trips, and waypoints and keeps track of your path so you can always find your way back to camp.

The BackTrack Mini GPS can also connect to your smartphone and make use of the Bushnell Connect Smartphone app to upload trips and waypoints and share them with your friends. This also gives you access to a larger screen other than the LCD 2.25″ display that is contained on the BackTrack Mini. Speaking of the display, it’s quite simple and gives you a digital compass as well as digital latitude and longitude coordinates so you can find your way back to either your camp or other points of interest, this functionality is also featured with the map view which leaves behind breadcrumbs so you can always find your way back home even if you’ve gone a bit too far off the trail and can’t find your way back using dead reckoning.
