Today, Hi-Lux Optics revealed their latest addition to the scope market, the CMR8 1-8x LPVO, during SHOT Show 2024. The new low-power variable optic (LPVO) comes with Hi-Lux Optic’s innovative b-Dot Fiber Optic Illumination system, which ensures a bright center dot, even under direct sunlight.
At the event, I had the opportunity to get hands-on with the CMR8 and immediately noticed its clear and distortion-free 1X magnification on the low end. “The CMR8 has tremendous value for $399 offering a true distortion-free 1X on the low end of its magnification,” commented Chris from Hi-Lux Optics, highlighting the affordability and quality of this new optic. The CMR8 offers versatility for shooters with a magnification range that stretches from 1-8X, making it a suitable option for close-quarters as well as mid-range targets.
This optic sits on a second focal plane and comes with a BDC reticle that is designed for calibration with 5.56 NATO rounds but is also compatible with heavier .308 loadings.
