Uncle Mike’s Partners with Forward Edge International to Provide Holsters to Haiti Law Enforcement

Overland Park, Kan. – Uncle Mike’s Law Enforcement, a trusted provider of gear by those who protect and serve for more than two decades, has partnered with Forward Edge International to supply holsters to law enforcement professionals in Carrefour, Haiti.
Following the devastating earthquake in January 2010, Forward Edge International established a partnership with Haitian law enforcement to support police officers in disaster relief zones. Upon establishing the partnership, Forward Edge found that 90 percent of the Carrefour Police Department carried firearms in their pockets or waistbands, due to the lack of funding for duty gear.
Recognizing a need for a safe, secure firearm carrying system, Uncle Mike’s Law Enforcement donated 50 Standard Retention Holsters to the Carrefour Police Department. With an 80 percent unemployment rate, the Carrefour population remains in survival mode, making conditions unpredictable and officer preparedness essential.
