Brighton, CO – Don’t let the cold weather keep you indoors this winter. Get outside and try a new sport like ice fishing. Join Chris Russell from Eagle Claw Fishing Tackle on Saturday, Dec. 10 from 10 a.m. – noon. at Barr Lake State Park for Ice Fishing 101. The class will teach the basics of ice fishing and then head out to fish with Russell, a local Colorado fishing guide.

Barr Lake offers ice fishing throughout the winter months, when conditions permit. Always check with the park office for a report on current conditions before going out onto the ice; the Barr Lake park office can be reached by phone at 303-659-6005. Be prepared for all types of weather with warm clothes, gloves, a hat and extra layers to keep warm.
