Dates Set for 21st Annual Smith & Wesson International Revolver Championship

Los Osos, CA – The International Confederation of Revolver Enthusiasts (ICORE) has announced the dates of the 21st Annual Smith & Wesson International Revolver Championship. The match, which will once again be held at the he Hogue Action Pistol Range at the San Luis Obispo Sportsmen’s Association in San Luis Obispo, Calif., will take place June 1-3, 2012.
Known as the IRC, the Smith & Wesson-sponsored championship brings together the top wheelgunners from across America and around the globe. This year’s match saw more than 230 competitors chasing titles in ICORE’s Open, Limited and Classic divisions.
“Each year the IRC has grown and 2011 saw a record number of shooters entered in the championship,” said Art Leach, match director. “In 2012 we’re expecting another big turnout and, thanks to the generosity of our sponsors, hopefully another record number of shooters.”
Registration for the match is now open and those interested in competing in the 2012 championship can find the match application online. Completed entry forms postmarked by April 1, 2012 will save a $15 early entry discount.
