Brownells’ Training Group has announced the schedule for the 2012 training year at the Big Springs Shooting Complex. Training Group Director Duane Liptak heads up the training effort with classes that address the requirements of Law Enforcement, Military and the armed Citizen. Duane’s “Continuum” programs address mindset, manipulations, fundamentals of marksmanship, tactics, and stress physiology across the range of reactive and proactive situations from contact distances to the limits of the firearm in use. “These programs impart solid fundamentals and manipulations, ingrain “default” solutions for use when stress is highest, and provide a range of techniques and problem solving that can keep the learning curve going long after the course is over,” said Liptak.
Duane brings to bear his experiences from 12 years of service in the United States Marine Corps with a rather unique career path of service in the infantry, as an F/A-18 pilot and as an original member of the Marine Special Operations Command (MARSOC). Melding his experiences in designing and executing training for tactical aviation, firearms employment, and ground combat tactics to domestic and foreign forces, as well as decorated combat service both in the air and on the ground, gives Duane a perspective that is unique in the training industry.
Training in defensive handgun, shotgun and carbine are offered in addition to Long Range Rifle. Armorers’ training is also available through Brownells Training Group, with upcoming classes to be announced through Remington, Sig, Glock, and others. Hosted or custom firearms training and armorer programs, designed to meet any customer?s needs, can be delivered through their Mobile Training Program.
