Norman, OK— The list of sponsors for the newest bass tournament trail in Texas is growing, with Lucas Oil joining the growing list of supporters with a multi-year commitment. The Texas Team Trail is Texas’ most unique team bass fishing tournament, which is set to begin on Sam Rayburn Lake in March 2012.
“Adding Lucas Oil to the list of sponsors is key to the success of the Texas Team Trail,” said Mike Hastings, Tournament Director. “Their success as a leader in creating oil products is well documented. I believe they bring a lineup of performance-driven products that greatly benefit our anglers on the Texas Team Trail whether it is for boats, tow vehicles, ATVs or UTVs.”

Headquartered in Corona, Calif., Lucas Oil provides high-performance oils, lubricants, car care products as well as fuel treatments to anglers and drivers for the vehicles that drive their passion.

Lucas Oil not only makes quality oil products, but also has hundreds of racing teams and facilities for drivers to compete against other competitors.

Lucas Oil owns several raceways where professional drivers test their merit. Lucas Speedway is the renovated 3/8-mile dirt track in Wheatland, Missouri. The Wheatland, MO facility short track racing destination is for pure stock, modified, late model, super late model, legends, bombers, bandoleros, sportsman and demolition derbies, as well as tractor pulling and a new state of the art drag boat racing facility.

In 2008, the Indianapolis Colts began calling Lucas Oil Stadium home. The stadium that bears the Lucas Oil name is a state-of-the-art multi-event facility that hosts a variety of entertainment and sporting events from NFL, NCAA basketball to music concerts and seats up to 75,000 people.

“We are extremely happy to sponsor the Texas Team Trail,” said Forrest Lucas, founder of Lucas Oil. “The Texas Team Trail and Lucas Oil partnership is a perfect match. It doesn’t matter if you are a weekend angler or a serious tournament angler, Lucas Oil marine products enhance the performance of any boat.”  “We look forward to a long lasting partnership with the Texas Team Trail and Ranger Boats,” added Jamie Devney, Director of Sales and Marketing/Team Lucas.

The tournament circuit, designed exclusively for team competition, will begin March 10th, 2012, and will include a total of four qualifying events, plus a year-end Championship. The Texas Team Trail website is already accepting registrations for all events online.
