Fulfill New Year’s Resolutions with Mountaineering Courses Through  Colorado Mountain Club

WHAT:  Basic Mountaineering School, offered by the Pikes Peak Group of the Colorado Mountain Club, is a great way to learn safety and skills for use in basic and technical mountain travel.  Find others with similar skills and goals to travel the mountains with.    The 2012 program begins in March.  Media is invited to witness instruction for Colorado Ice Climbing, the last class in the 2011 program.

WHO:  Offered through the Pikes Peak Group of the Colorado Mountain Club.  David Anderson is the lead instructor.

WHEN:  Saturday, January 14th and Sunday January 15th from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm each day.  Additional dates and times available for instructor interviews.

WHERE:  Silver Cascade Falls, North Cheyenne Canon (meet at Helen Hunt Falls)

WHY:  Basic Mountaineering School promotes safe travel in the mountains and connects students to a group with a health and challenge-oriented culture.  This is a great way to increase commitment to a New Year’s resolution and a great way to transition into a long-term lifestyle of health and fitness while experiencing all that Colorado has to offer!
