Mountain Khakis Offers Live Raptor Demo at Outdoor Retailer

Mountain Khakis, a leading mountain-inspired lifestyle apparel brand, will host MK Fund partner, the Teton Raptor Center, for a live raptor demonstration in their booth at the 2012 Winter Market Outdoor Retailer.
Mark your calendars! On Friday, January 20th and Saturday, January 21st, Mountain Khakis will host the Teton Raptor Center in their Outdoor Retailer booth# 25035 for an intimate, live demonstration of rehabilitated raptors. Happy hour starts at 4pm both days, followed by live demonstrations starting at 4:30pm.
Folks who make a minimum donation of $30 to the TRC will receive a $75 Mountain Khakis gift card and get their photo taken with one of the majestic, rehabilitated raptors. It will be an educational and memorable experience for all.
Amy Brennan McCarthy, Executive Director for the Teton Raptor Center, said they are planning to bring three raptors to the demonstrations: a Saker Falcon, an Eagle Owl, and a Lanner Falcon. “This unique opportunity to be at arm’s length and eye-to-eye with a raptor will be both magical and meaningful. We’re thrilled to offer inspiring experiences that enhance wild raptor discoveries, as well as foster learning and understanding of the natural world,” said McCarthy. “We’re thankful to MK for inviting us to OR for this special event, and for our partnership in the MK Fund™.”
Teton Raptor Center (TRC) is a non-profit organization located just outside Jackson Hole in Wilson, Wyoming. Our team is comprised of conservation biologists, veterinarians, wildlife rehabilitators, educators and volunteers who work to help birds of prey and promote environmental health though educational programs, conservation initiatives, medical treatment and rehabilitation.
Mountain Khakis has supported Teton Raptor Center since 2009, providing apparel for TRC fundraisers and for staff and volunteers who rescue birds, clean chambers, and provide support for raptors in need of medical treatment… all in an effort to return these birds to the wild and to inspire learning and understanding of the natural world.
