Gramicci Hires New Regional Manager for Sales and Expands International Market

Gramicci responds to ongoing growth and demand by hiring new U.S. Regional Manager of Sales Lori Nuss. In her new position, Nuss will manage mountain state sales directives internally and maximize brand exposure in Gramicci perspective growth regions. This is a newly created position to help Gramicci better serve its growing number of new dealers and existing accounts in marketing and customer service.

Prior to this position, Nuss worked as the Gramicci regional sales manager for the mountain states (UT, CO, TX, NE, AK, and KS). She was recently the Rocky Mountains Territory Manager for Costa Sunglasses. Nuss started her career with Patagonia in the late 1980’s and has more than 20 years of experience in the outdoor ski industries. A Montana native who spent her childhood in Yellowstone National Park, Nuss is an avid outdoors’ woman who enjoys traveling, skiing, fly-fishing, camping, anything associated outside.

Nuss explains her motivation for the move, “I am thrilled to be a member of the Gramicci sales team. It’s a unique opportunity to be involved with the revival of such a recognized, iconic brand. I feel that the experience I bring to the table will help me to better identify with our retailers, and ultimately help to make them more successful.”

She resides in Basalt, Colorado and is praying for snow like everyone else.

Expanding International Sales
Gramicci sales numbers have exceeded annual forecasts put in place by Gramicci President Marty Weening and Paul Buxbaum every year since 2006.

In addition to the growth in the United States, international sales continue to increase. Representation in Europe is spearheaded by Peter Benjamin and Japan sales are led by Nao Iawai and Yoskiki Motosuna.

The Japanese market is experiencing an unusually high demand of the original G Series and customers are demanding bright colorful skus. This demand is being met through the new Gramicci Replenishment Program (GRP). As part of the GRP, Gramicci dyes and finishes a portion of its products in the United States for its heritage G-Series products. This change means retailers can buy a wider color selection, less units and replenish their stock quickly after seeing what sells best. This reduces their risk of having to buy too much inventory in uncertain economic times. The initiative is a part of the Gramicci Start Somewhere ™ division to assist in lessening the unemployment rate in California.

The new regional hire, with the new world wide sales reps, the local replenishment program and sales that are up – all add up to more service, more distribution and more jobs. Gramicci celebrates and is thriving in its thirty years of business. Contact us to find out more. www.gramicci.com
