Record Pre-Reg Numbers for Snow Show’s On-Snow Demo

Plans for the SIA Snow Show’s 3rd annual On-Snow Demo/Ski-Ride Fest (Jan. 30-31) are being finalized this week and record numbers have already pre-registered to attend the annual two-day event of on-snow testing and slope-side socializing. Winter Park Resort will host the Alpine/Snowboard Demo & Ski-Ride Fest and act as base camp for all lift service testing and nearby Devil’s Thumb Ranch will host the Nordic Demo focusing on the latest in skate, cross-country, touring and snowshoe technology.
During the Demo, retailers and media can test products from over 120 brands representing ski, snowboard, Nordic, AT, telemark and backcountry gear and accessories. Other attendees will get time on-snow and downtime with industry friends during parties, events and après happy hours hosted by SIA and members. For those needing a little friendly competition there’s the Uphill/Down Challenge and Office Booyz & Girlz “non-contest” contest– both held at Winter Park Resort and open to all On-Snow Demo attendees. There will also be a 2 Mile High BBQ at the Sunspot (Monday, January 30) at Winter Park. Reservations are required for the 2 Mile High BBQ, deadline is Thursday, Jan 19. RESERVE your spot today.
“The On-Snow Demo brings the industry together, doing what they love to do – it’s a great way to wrap up the Show experience. Personally, I always look forward to those two days of being outside and catching-up with friends,” commented David Ingemie, President of SIA.
This year’s Nordic Demo at Devil’s Thumb Ranch was created specifically for the Nordic community and will feature more equipment, brands, models and sizes than any other demo in the country. Retailers will also have the chance to attend seminars and networking events to share ideas with like-minded retailers from around the country. Current list of Nordic Demo exhibitors: Alpina Sports, Atomic Nordic, Atlas Snowshoes, Fischer Sports, Madshus, Rossignol Nordic, Salomon Nordic, Smith Optics, and Swix Sport USA.
“As a retailer, the Nordic Demo is a critical event for making the best decisions on specific brands and models to carry for their customers,” commented Reese Brown, SIA Nordic Director. “Retailers will get on some great gear but also socialize with key principals from all the manufacturing companies,” added Brown.
The On-Snow Demo/Ski-Ride Fest is hosted in-conjunction with the Western Winter Sports Reps Association’s (WWSRA) Rocky Mountain Demo and in partnership with Cross Country Ski Areas Association (CCSAA).
