As SHOT Enters Day Three Auction Views Surpass 100,000


One of the most anticipated features of each year’s Shooting, Hunting and Outdoor Trade Show (SHOT Show) is the annual SHOT Show Auction featuring historic highly collectible firearms. This year’s auction features an intricately carved Glock Model 22, a fully engraved Baron-Winchester Model 1892 and two one-of-a-kind Ross Tyser custom knives with views on surpassing 100,000 interested bidders halfway through the auction.

2012 SHOT Show Handgun – the GLOCK “Statue of Liberty Gun”
The distinctive and historic Glock G22, hand-engraved in Austria, features an intricate, hand-engraved tribute to the Statue of Liberty. The theme was selected to recognize the company’s 25th Anniversary and coincides with the 125th Anniversary of the Statue of Liberty. The High Bidder will also receive a hunting trip with Glock spokesperson R. Lee “The Gunny” Ermey, as well as a framed blueprint of the original Glock 17.

2012 SHOT Rifle – a Winchester Model 1892 Takedown rifle hand-engraved by Baron Engraving.
An exquisitely engraved Winchester Model 1892 Takedown rifle is the 2012 SHOT Show Rifle. In celebration of Baron Engraving’s 30th Anniversary, the Model 1892 rifle, chambered in .38-40 Win., has been hand-engraved by Rob Bunting of the Baron Custom Engraving Shop utilizing the unique single-line shading style, which allows the fine detailed cuts to reflect light from any angle. The rifle features full engraving coverage on the receiver as well as detailed handwork on the lever, hand jewelling on the bold, and a gold-plated hammer, trigger and barrel band.

Ross Tyser 2012 SHOT Show “Heritage Edition”
This is a double-edged 384-layered 1084 and 15n20 Damascus blade in a twist pattern. Overall length is 10 ¼ inches, and the handle is stabilized palm.

Ross Tyser SHOT Show “Rock Pile” Tactical Master One-of-One. The Tactical Master is a double-edge ATS-34 blade with a liquid nitrogen quench. Overall length is 10 ¼ inches; the handle is green canvas micarta, and the knife comes with a form-fitted green Kydex sheath.
