Maryland NRP Charge Pair With Violations

Allegany County, MD – Maryland Natural Resource Police Officers charge two residents of Oldtown, MD with multiple violations. NRP Officers served an arrest warrant on Christopher Porter and Ina Porter of Oldtown. Christopher Allen Porter, 31, was charged with the following Natural Resource violations: 5 counts of Spotlighting with a weapon, 5 counts of hunting deer closed season, 5 counts of hunting deer at nighttime, 5 counts of shooting from or across a public roadway. Porter was charged with the following criminal violations: 9 counts of contributing to a condition of a child, 9 counts of reckless endangerment from a vehicle, 2 counts of conspiracy, contribute to the condition of a child. Porter was also charged with the following traffic charges: 5 counts of negligent driving, 5 counts of reckless driving. Ina Meredith Porter, 26, was charged with the following Natural Resource violations: 5 counts of spotlighting with a weapon, 5 counts of hunting deer at nighttime. Ms. Porter was also received the following criminal charges: 10 counts to contributing to the condition of a child.

During the arrest 3 rifles were and 5 packages of deer meat were seized. Christopher Porter is being held at the Allegany County Detention Center on $20,000.00 bond. Ina Porter was released.
