Denver, CO– Anglers looking to learn about the latest fishing gear, need look no further than Getting School’d with JP DeRose, on WFN: World Fishing Network. The fourth season of television’s ultimate fishing gear show begins on Wednesday, February 8 at 7:30 pm ET, as host JP DeRose takes a look at shad-shapedcrankbaits and shows viewers how to use them effectively on the water.
Getting School’d with JP DeRose is a WFN Original production shot entirely in HD. Throughout the 12-epsiode season, DeRose, a 10-year fishing professional and self-described “fishing gear-head,” teaches anglers about the latest fishing gear on the market and even shows them how to use it on the water. Although the show presents a wide variety of new products, gear and technologies, baits are the central theme for this season.
“We have a great season on tap for anglers who are looking for an edge to catch more fish,” said DeRose. “Although we cover many different products this year, we are paying extra attention to the innovative new baits on the market. In addition to showcasing the newest products, we make sure to take them out on the water to show anglers how they work.”
Megabass, one of the show’s sponsors, will help kick-off the season with a gear giveaway. From February 6 through March 25, anglers can enter a sweepstakes by reading DeRose’s reviews of Megabass products on the gear page of the WFN website and then answering questions about the reviews at www.worldfishingnetwork.com/megabass.
One randomly selected entrant who successfully answers all five questions will win a Megabass prize pack valued at over $1,400 including one of each of the following items: Rod:Megabass Orochi F6-72X4 , Reel: IS-73C , Lure: Vision 110 Magnum (2pcs), Lure: Vision 110+1 (2pcs), Lure: XPOD Jr. (2pcs), Lure: XDAD (2pcs), Line: DragonCall SD4 Fluorocarbon, and a Megabass Field Cap.
Another highlight of the season is a two-part episode sponsored by the Houma (LA) Area Convention and Visitors Bureau. DeRose and his crew will hit the water in Southern Louisiana and show viewers the best product to use if they are fishing offshore or on the flats in one of the USA’s most popular fishing destinations.
