USA Shooting Attends Western Hunting & Conservation Expo

USA Shooting (USAS) officials and National Team members are descending upon Salt Lake City, Utah, today for the start of the sixth annual Western Hunting and Conservation Expo.

The Western Hunting & Conservation Expo will combine the very best in hunting expositions with a joint national convention between two major North American wildlife conservation organizations – the Mule Deer Foundation (MDF), and

Sportsmen for Fish & Wildlife  (SFW), both of whom are supporters of USA Shooting.

The Expo is the second to last stop in an always busy ‘show’ season within the hunting, outdoor and shooting sports industry. USA Shooting leaders and athletes have traveled the globe since the beginning of the year showcasing the sport of Olympic shooting and mingling with industry leaders to enhance the organization’s visibility.

Spearheaded by the dual efforts of Buddy DuVall, USA Shooting Team Foundation Executive Director and Corrie West, USA Shooting’s Director,  Marketing and Communications, the organization is placing special significance in being an active participant and partner in this annual rite of passage within the industry.

“The show season presents a tremendous opportunity for us to tell our story and create greater understanding of what USA Shooting is about,” said Buddy DuVall.  “The ability to showcase our athletes to sportsmen and sportswomen from around the world and give something back to our partners and these organizations to support their efforts is very important to our overall mission.”

USAS athletes in attendance include Jaiden Grinnell (Port Angeles, Wash.), Collin Wietfeldt (Hemlock, Mich.), Jake Turner (Richland, Wash.), BJ Blanchard (Vidor, Texas) and John Mullins (Port Orchard, Wash.).  USA Shooting has an exhibition booth (#1708) set up as part of the expo.

Those expected to attend the Hunting Expo include some of the more than 650,000 hunters living within a day’s drive of Salt Lake City along with sportsmen and sportswomen throughout North America.  An estimated 27,000 people are expected to converge on downtown Salt Lake City during the four-day show.

More than 400 exhibitors, outfitters, sporting goods manufacturers, and hunting experts from the U.S., Canada, Mexico, Africa, Russia, Tajikistan, New Zealand and other international hunting locations will exhibit their diverse hunting adventures, hunting equipment, and related products and services within the Salt Palace Convention Center.
