Montana Hunter Education Classes Planned for Darby, Lone Rock and Corvallis

Hunter Education classes are planned for Darby, Lone Rock and Corvallis in February and March. Schedules and registration for all classes is available online at fwp.mt.gov.
In Darby, a mandatory orientation night is set for Monday, Feb. 27 from 6-7p.m. with classes Monday, March 5 through Friday, March 9 from 6-9 p.m. each evening. Orientation and classes are held at the Darby School (209 School Drive).
Classes for Lone Rock School (1112 Three Mile Creek Road) between Stevensville and Florence are March 6 through March 9 from 6-9p.m. each evening with a field course on Saturday, March 10.
For Corvallis, students and their parent or legal guardian must attend an orientation night on Wednesday, Feb. 29 from 6-7p.m. Classes are Monday, March 19 through Friday, March 23 from 6-8 p.m. each evening. Orientation and classes are held in the Corvallis Middle School cafeteria, accessible off the Eastside Highway.
Students interested in any of these classes can register online now at fwp.mt.gov. Go to the Education tab, select Hunter Education and click to access the course schedule.
Classes are free, and a student must be at least 11 years old to be certified. Any person born after January 1, 1985 must present a Hunter Education Certificate in order to purchase a hunting license in Montana. For questions, call Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks at 406-542-5500.
