Montana Spring Hunter, Bowhunter Classes Scheduled for Plains

Hunter Education: Registration and first night of class for the Plains Hunter Education Course is Monday, March 19, 6-8:30 p.m. at the Plains High School. Classes continue from 6-8:30 p.m. on March 20, 21, 22, and 23. All classes are held at the Plains High School. The field course will be held Saturday, April 2. Bowhunter Education: Registration and first night of class for the Plains Bowhunter Education Class is Monday, April 2, 6-8:30 p.m. at the Plains High School. Classes continue from 6-8:30 p.m. on April 3, 4, 5, and 6. For more information call Wayne Crismore, 826-5139.
All hunter and bowhunter education classes are free of charge. By state law, anyone born after January 1, 1985, must have completed the Hunter Education Course to buy a hunting license in Montana. The minimum age for hunting in Montana is 12 (11-year olds who turn 12 by January 16 of the license year can qualify, see regulations). A parent or guardian must accompany students under 18 to sign the registration form.
