Kaci Cochran of Stockbridge, Georgia is making waves in the competition steel shooting world. She has been taking high honors in shooting competitions since 2007 as a junior and in 2012, she celebrates her second consecutive win of the Ladies Open division at the USPSA Florida Open.
As she embarks on the 2012 shooting season with a great beginning so far, take the time to look back on quick and accurate shooting skills from a few years back at the Georgia Steel Shooting Championship in 2009.

Team STI shooter Kaci Cochran of Stockbridge, Ga. won the Ladies Open division title at the prestigious 2012 USPSA Florida Open for the second year in a row.
Cochran, who competed with a custom STI 2011, dominated among the women by winning seven of the 10 stages to finish with a final score of 1068.8104 points, placing her 20th overall among 112 shooters in the Open division.
“This year’s Florida Open was the most technical and demanding matches that I have attended to date,” said Cochran. “Winning the title for a second year in a row is a great way to start the 2012 shooting season, especially considering that there were so many great shooters in attendance.”
Held this past weekend in Frostproof, Fla. at the Universal Shooting Academy facility, the Florida Open drew over 390 shooters, including some of the top competitors from around the world.
Cochran burst on to the action shooting scene a few years ago winning multiple national championships shooting steel as a junior. She has since become one of the top lady action shooters in the country with top five finishes at the USPSA Nationals and wins at the MASTERS, IPSC Nationals and several State and regional tournaments. Look for Kaci to be a force in the 2012 shooting season.
