The fishing pier at Rosedale Beach in Oak Orchard near the Gull Point development will be closed for repairs until late March. Delaware Division of Fish and Wildlife staff began work on the pier today, pulling off planking boards that will be replaced.
“When we pulled up the planks, we saw that some of the support beams also need replacing, and we will have to order them,” said Sussex Regional Wildlife Manager Robert Gano.
The Rosedale Beach boat ramp will remain open during the pier work, but parking will be limited at the site. The project will be funded by federal Sportfish Restoration Funds and state matching funds from licensing fees.
