MotoConcepts Racing Chooses Faction MX

Team MotoConcepts Racing (MCR) entered the 2012 Supercross season with something to prove, starting with the choice to avoid factory entanglements and the ability to develop their own program from scratch. “This is a great opportunity,” explained Tony Alessi, father of MCR team riders Mike and Jeff Alessi. “We want to take a MotoConcepts Racing 450 and try to develop a program that can beat the top talent and top equipment in the world. It’s not going to be easy by any means, but we’re up for the challenge.”
Being free to develop their own program means the Alessi clan can choose to run any components they feel will help them meet the challenge of beating the world’s best. “Given this freedom of choice, we are very proud of the fact MotoConcepts Racing chose Faction MX for their needs,” notes Faction MX General Manager Scott Highland. “They put every single component under the microscope and Faction MX passed their tests with flying colors.”
Historically a good starter, Mike Alessi has been at the front of the pack in several of his heat races and main events, culminating in dicing with Kevin Windham this past weekend in St. Louis. A couple of tough breaks, including a run-in with a tuff block knocked onto the track in Phoenix, has younger brother Jeff looking for redemption at the Ricky Carmichael-designed track at Daytona this weekend.
“The entire team should be easy to spot down in Daytona,” adds Highland. “They will be the riders out front in the iconic JT Racing gear and distinctive MotoConcepts Racing bikes. We are proud to be a part of this epic battle of the underdog team battling against mighty factory juggernauts.”
