New Hampshire Public Hearings Set for Vermont Wheeled Vehicle Reciprocity
OutdoorHub 03.08.12
Proposed rule changes affecting wheeled-vehicle reciprocity with Vermont and Off-Highway Recreational Vehicle (OHRV) and snowmobile event permits will be discussed at two public hearings being held by the New Hampshire Fish and Game Department. These rules would affect Vermont residents operating All-Terrain Vehicles (ATVs) on New Hampshire trails, and persons applying for or conducting an OHRV or snowmobile event in New Hampshire. The hearings will be held on:
- Wednesday, March 21, 6:30 p.m. – N.H. Fish and Game Department Headquarters, 11 Hazen Drive, Concord, N.H. 03884
- Thursday, March 22, 6:30 p.m. – N.H. Fish and Game Region 1 Office, North Country Resource Center, 629 B Main Street, Lancaster, N.H. 03584
The proposed rules would allow properly registered Vermont ATVs to use New Hampshire trails. They also would make various administrative changes and readoptions to the rules governing OHRV event permits.
