QDMA’s Joe Hamilton to Lead Interactive Presentation at Cape Fear Wildlife Expo

   03.14.12

The Quality Deer Management Association (QDMA) Founder and Director of Development Joe Hamilton will lead an interactive presentation on “The Sounds of Wildlife” at the 2012 Cape Fear Wildlife Expo’s “Kids Gone Wild!” Workshop.

The Cape Fear Wildlife Expo is a family event that will be held March 16-18 at the new Wilmington Convention Center along the Cape Fear River in Wilmington, N.C. As part of the Expo, the Kids Gone Wild! academic workshop is an interactive workshop designed to reconnect children with the great outdoors.

Hamilton’s presentation on “The Sounds of Wildlife” will help students learn to identify the sounds of many wildlife species commonly found in the Southeast in an effort to fully appreciate time spent outdoors.

“Kids Gone Wild!” is sponsored by Time Warner Cable’s Connect a Million Minds (CAMM), a five-year, $100 million national philanthropic initiative to connect students with hands-on science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) activities. To learn more, visit www.connectamillionminds.com.

“Kids Gone Wild!” is being delivered by the North Carolina State Chapter of QDMA as a QDMA REACH initiative in partnership with its QDMA Branches, the North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission, the North Carolina Department of Forestry, Cape Fear River Watch, North Carolina PARC, Time Warner Cable, North Carolina National Estuarine Research Reserve, Jordan Lake Educational Forest and many other dedicated wildlife conservation partners.
