Indiana State Parks & Reservoirs Photo Contest Winners Named

Mike Millspaugh of Marion, Sarah Douthitt of Burns Harbor, and Sharon Johnson of Shelbyville, are the first-, second- and third-place winners of the 2011 DNR State Parks & Reservoirs photo contest.
Millspaugh won a $50 gift certificate from Indiana State Park Inns and an Annual Entrance Pass for state parks and reservoirs for a picture of an opossum in a tree.
Douthitt receives the second-place prize, a one-year Outdoor Indiana magazine subscription, and a copy of the DVD “Indiana State Parks: Treasures in Your Own Backyard” for her picture, which exhibited “good mood interpretation during a day and season when it’s hard to make stuff look nice.”
Johnson’s third-place shot was of pickerelweed at Shakamak State Park. She will receive a one-year Outdoor Indiana subscription and a copy of the “Treasures” DVD.
