What’s better than a little “bo-hunting” with Bo Jackson on a Friday night? Sportsman Channel, the leader in outdoor TV for the American Sportsman, is bringing audiences on a whitetail deer hunt in Fulton County, Illinoiswith sports great, Bo Jackson, exclusively on Relentless Pursuit. Host Tim Wells guides Bo on a typical fall deer hunt…it’s typical in every way except for the fact he’s guiding one of the most recognizable names in the sports industry. With tags to fill, Bo Jackson and host Tim Wells head out on a chilly fall day in centralIllinois. They soon come across a pack of does, and Bo isn’t a stranger to treestand hunting. He takes his time waiting for the deer to turn broadside and the arrow quickly finds its target.
“It’s been a long time coming. I haven’t harvested a deer in a year and half because I’ve been so busy. But I know what we are having for lunch today,” grins Bo Jackson after he downed his first deer.
“We were a little concerned about Bo at first. Bo knows football, baseball, but we didn’t know if he knows hunting – but apparently he does,” said Tim Wells, host.
After finding his second doe of the day, Bo heads back to camp to grill backstraps for the crew. “He’s probably one of the best wild game cooks I’ve ever met,” said Wells.Jacksonused his own recipe rub and seasonings for the backstraps.
And you’ll have to stay tuned in for the last minutes of the show to see where Bo takes Tim for a little “rest and relaxation” after the hunt.
