Gooseman Game Calls, a company started by Steve Halliwell, has teamed up with the Made In America Store to produce a selection of American made game calls. One of the more interesting aspects of Gooseman Game Calls is that before the company was even started, Steve Halliwell made game calls as a hobby. Steve started making calls for his family members and friends and by word of mouth the demand for the calls started to kick off.
Feeling optimistic from the testimonials and success stories, Halliwell decided to try and pitch the idea at a couple of outdoors men shows. Since the first show, displaying his custom made game calls, the business has escalated.

Halliwell’s expertise doesn’t just stop at crafting pristine game calls, but in fact he helps multiple organizations get involved with wildlife and experiencing the great outdoors. Halliwell is involved with the Light Foundation, which helps under privileged children from the inner city learn about the outdoors. He shows them the safe and fun way to enjoy hunting and fishing. The Light Foundation was founded by Matt Light, an offensive tackle from the New England Patriots. Halliwell also supports his local Ducks Unlimited Chapter which helps disabled individuals get into the woods and learn how they can get involved with hunting.
Halliwell doesn’t stop with just the Light Foundation and his local Ducks Unlimited Chapter, he also runs his own program yearly where he has a Father Son Goose Hunt. Halliwell is also involved with NRA Local Friends & Groups and The CNY Wildflowlers which focuses on helping the children get involved with the outdoors.
“Getting the youth involved in hunting is a very important part of our business,” said Halliwell.
