The Norwegian Design Council Awards Helly Hansen’s Odin Fastpack Jacket

The Norwegian Design Council awarded Helly Hansen’s Odin Fastpack Jacket with the prestigious Norwegian Award for Design Excellence. The jacket weighs in at a mere 242 grams yet is built to handle inclement weather with the same aplomb as burlier options. It features Helly Tech Performance protection, water-resistant Aquaguard zippers and a helmet-compatible hood.

The Fastpack Jacket is part of the Odin collection, Helly Hansen’s most advanced outdoor clothing series. The collection was launched in 2008, winning the Red Dot award for superior design. The collection has since expanded and has received numerous awards from leading magazines and outdoor enthusiast forums around the globe. Most recently, the Fastpack Jacket was included in the Backpackers’ 2012 Gear Guide and the Odin Mountain Jacket was awarded Gear of the Year earlier this year in Outside Buyer’s Guide, America’s leading outdoor gear publication.
