The Hoku Nai’a Introduces Hawaii’s Newest Eco-Tour

   05.29.12

Perfect for summer fun, the Hoku Nai’a, an eco-friendly vessel specializing in top quality wild dolphin watching, offers a “Paradise Snorkel & Snack” cruise that takes guests for an underwater adventure in the pristine waters off West O’ahu. The special seasonal eco-tour is available daily June 1 – September 30, 2012.

Optional snorkeling extensions have been available to participants of the highly regarded Hoku Nai’a wild dolphin watch cruises since the vessel’s launch in 2008, however, guest demand has led to introduction of this snorkel-only product. Quality diving masks and fins as well as instruction are provided, with snorkeling tours to view colorful coral, fish, and other marine life conducted by fully-qualified diver crew members. Refreshments, including a freshly grilled onboard hot dog with “Hawaiian salsa” and Blue Dolphin cocktail, are included in the suggested retail price of $79.00 adults and $48.00 children (3-11).

The two-deck, 149-passenger Hoku Nai’a vessel is ideal for Hawaiian snorkeling excursions, with easy step stair access to the water, fresh water shower and onboard restroom. The 65’ catamaran was custom built for dolphin watching, with hybrid power generator and EPA compliant engines to minimize emissions. An optional West O’ahu Tour is available for guests desiring ground transportation from Waikiki to the Wai’anae Boat Harbor from which cruises depart, for an additional $20.00 per person.

The Hoku Nai’a is operated by Star of Honolulu Cruises & Events, which proudly celebrates its 55th anniversary this year. For reservations or more information, please visit http://www.hokunaia.com or call toll-free at (800) 334-6191. In Hawaii, call (808) 983-STAR (7827).
