ExperiencePlus! Bicycle Tours Announces Two Multi-Week Expedition Tours Across European Continent for 2013 Season

ExperiencePlus! Bicycle Tours, in 1972 the first North American tour company to offer pedal tours in Europe (http://www.experienceplus.com/), announces two epic 2013 weeks-long ExpeditionPlus! tours from St. Petersburg to Istanbul and from the Atlantic Coast of France across Europe to the Black Sea Coast of Romania.
Scheduled 2013 dates and per person, double occupancy rates are:

This will be the fourth time the company has rolled out the St. Petersburg to Istanbul ExpeditionPlus! tour. Currently, the 2012 tour (Aug. 15 – Sept. 29, 2012) is running with 18 participants. These programs for the most part mirror the company’s shorter tours except that more miles are cycled daily and there’s more variance in the quality of accommodations depending on the routes.
Company director Maria Elena Price says the company has been conducting extended itineraries since 2006 at the request of repeat guests. “The ExpeditionPlus! concept was to create cycling experiences for true explorers. Unlike our regular tours, our Expeditions are all about covering expansive territory. They’re about the challenge of pedaling across Europe in six weeks. They include the best of a regular ExperiencePlus! tour with the added satisfaction of cycling long distances, far from the beaten track.”
Price notes that these tours may not be for everyone. “Expeditions are for folks who want to be among the first, the few, the special. This is reflected by the fact that travelers must apply for our Expeditions and meet certain requirements. They cannot just book a reservation without first talking to us and qualifying themselves.”
