“Storability, durability, and light-weight is what White Rock Decoys have always been known for and these new decoys follow that model,” says lead engineer Adam Steinberg. “But the realism and detailed intricacies of the head design is what really stands out as being second-to-none as far as windsock decoys go.”
The new WRD heads offer many unique features. They’re made from a specially engineered plastic that’s light weight but also incredibly durable. Each head is a hollow shell that compacts for storage and weighs merely ounces.
WRD heads attach directly to the 360deg swiveling Tuf-Snap Collapsible Support System and turn with the body bag. That means the heads will never face backwards when the wind switches directions unlike some windsock decoy heads that attach directly to the stationary ground stake. Along those lines, the heads were also designed to be “multi-positionable” which allows them to be mounted at unique positions (straight forward, looking slightly to each side, or at a hard angle) allowing hunters to truly customize the look of their spread.
“But one of the best features of the new heads is that they can be retro-mounted to any headless White Rock Decoy. This quick add on option will allow guys to increase the headed decoy percentage of their spread as they go without dropping huge amounts of money,” describes Steinberg.
