Polar Bottle is expanding its line of benefit bottles supporting local and national charities with a new line of bottles bearing the iconic logo of the American Red Cross.
The custom white Red Cross Disaster Relief Benefit Bottles, which customers can purchase starting today, will be sold exclusively on the Polar Bottle website www.polarbottle.com. For every $14.99 bottle sold, Polar Bottle will donate $5 to support American Red Cross disaster relief.
According to Polar Bottle president Judy Amabile, the idea for the bottles came about following Hurricane Sandy and the devastation it caused to the East Coast of the United States this October.
“After witnessing the destruction from Hurricane Sandy we knew we wanted to help support relief efforts,” Amabile said, explaining that several employees from the Polar Bottle office have family in affected areas. “By partnering with the Red Cross we can help victims from Sandy and those affected by future disasters as well.”
Each year, the American Red Cross responds to about 70,000 natural and man-made disasters in the U.S., ranging from fires to hurricanes, floods, earthquakes, tornadoes, hazardous materials spills, transportation accidents and explosions. The portion of proceeds from the Polar Bottle benefit bottles donated to the American Red Cross will go directly toward helping the organization fulfill these relief efforts.
The patented Polar Bottle water bottle features an insulating layer between two walls of plastic, so it keeps liquids cool twice as long as other water bottles. The Made in America bottle fits standard bike water bottle cages and features a convenient, removable carrying strap. All Polar Bottle products are, and always have been, BPA-free and Phthalate- free. The Red Cross Disaster Relief Benefit Bottles will be available in 24-ounce and 20-ounce sizes.
