WFN to Deliver 24 New & Returning Original Series in January & February

WFN: World Fishing Network, the leading entertainment destination and digital resource for anglers throughout North America, today announced its schedule of winter 2013 programming featuring 24 new and returning television series.

“World Fishing Network is excited to present our winter programming lineup, which offers a broad selection of entertaining and informative programming to our viewing audience throughout North America and the Caribbean,” said director of programming for WFN, Ana Rodrigues.  “The debut of our WFN original production, Beyond the Cast with JP DeRose, along with new episodes of many popular shows and the introduction of several new programs combine to make the best lineup of fishing programs anywhere.  No other network offers the content that WFN delivers to anglers and outdoor enthusiasts on a daily basis.”

Headlining the schedule in the New Year is the new WFN original, Beyond the Cast with JP DeRose, premiering Wednesday, Jan. 30 at 7:30 p.m. ET.  Each episode of Beyond the Cast with JP DeRose brings together a panel of experts to test and evaluate some of the best-in-class fishing gear, including rods, reels, lures and accessories.  Products similar in function and price range will be evaluated on performance, quality and durability by the panel with JP designing each controlled test and making sure it’s properly conducted.  JP will be on the water each episode, giving viewers the opportunity to learn proper technique application with some valuable pointers and helpful tips related to the category of products being rated.

Beyond the Cast with JP DeRose will encourage anglers to contribute their personal reviews on Beyond the Cast online forums as well as Facebook (http://www.facebook.com/BeyondTheCast) and Twitter (@Beyond_the_Cast).

“I want anglers to share their hands-on experience with the gear we’re testing on the show; we want to know what he or she thinks of it,” said DeRose.  “Whether it’s good, bad or indifferent, Beyond the Cast will provide honest and unfiltered opinions on the best – and not so good – equipment out in the marketplace.”
