North American Fisherman-TV Travels to Quebec for Unbelievable Fishing

This week the North American Fisherman-TV crew head to Quebec, Canada’s oldest and largest province for a variety of fish species in just one locale. Plus, former NFL All-Time Leading Scorer, Gary Anderson, shows viewers the benefits of going with the tidal flow. Catch a video overview of the episode here.
The Duplessis region of Quebec has streams with landlocked salmon, big northern pike and gorgeous brook trout. Gregory Coutier of Tourisme Quebec quickly settles into this region and his favorite fish to find – brookies. “The area is so special and the cabins – they are really more like chalets – are excellent. I caught fish using my fly rod and my spinning rod. It was like paradise for me,” said Gregory.
The NAF-TV crew catches up with former NFL All-Time leading scorer, Gary Anderson, as they visit the tidal flow area. The difference in high tide and low tide here can be as much as 40 feet. And the icy waters means only one thing – arctic char. “I’ve never done anything like this before,” said Anderson. “We just got out of the boats and walked up a rocky cliff and caught a nice, big char. Watching him from that high up and looking down at the crystal clear water was really special.” Of course, Anderson’s next challenge was getting off that rocky cliff to grab the fish!
Silent Invaders visits the Upper Midwest Sciences Center in LaCrosse, Wisc. to learn the latest on DNA testing in rivers and lakes in order to catch early signs of invading species. And in the Clubhouse, learn the tips and tools you’ll need to plan your special Quebec fishing trip. Finally, in Knot Wars, it’s a showdown between the uni knot and the water knot. Can you recreate them?
