Newest Issue of The Police Marksman Now Online

The Mar/Apr 2013 issue of The Police Marksman is now available online a twww.poliemarksman.com<http://www.policemarksman.com> from Hendon Media Group.

This issue’s “Bullseye” focuses on backup/off-duty guns with reviews of Smith & Wesson’s new Bodyguards, both the pistol and revolver.  Also tested and evaluated is Charter Arms’ .40 caliber Pitbull snubnose, a revolver that fires semi-auto cartridges without moon clips.  In addition, modern options for backup gun carry by uniformed patrol officers are addressed.

This month’s online issue of The Police Marksman also sights in on training.   Articles target staying ready despite department budget cuts, handling qualification failures, and training to shoot while both moving and stationary.

An off-duty 50 round pistol course of fire provides a block of instruction that range officers can simply print out and utilize for training.  This month’s course emphasizes up close drawing and shooting from the holster, headshots, reloads, and the pressure of targets facing for short periods of time.

Brian McKenna’s “Officer Down” brand new column delves into the perils of foot chases and once again features a police officer displaying the warrior spirit necessary to both survive and prevail an armed encounter.

The Police Marksman continues its mission of being “by cops, for cops” and helping to keep officers safe with information they can really use.
