Part Two of MeatEater’s Five-Part Montana Episode Run Shows Fans what goes into Making a MeatEater Episode
MeatEater with Steven Rinella takes fans on amazing journeys in search of some of the best hunts and food that the great outdoors has to offer. And this week, fans get an insider look into just what it takes to film an episode of the show. Sportsman Channel, the leader in Outdoor TV for the American Sportsman, is proud to announce the second installment of a five-part Montana series on MeatEater with Steven Rinella. In this unique episode, Rinella takes his viewers behind the scenes to show them the planning, preparation, and techniques that go into filming MeatEater. Along the way, they will be introduced to the names and faces of Rinella’s film crew as they scour the Montana landscape in search of a good-eating mule deer buck to share between the crew for Thanksgiving Dinner.
This is a hard hunt in a hard landscape, and a combination of long hikes, uncooperative pack llamas, and elusive mule deer makes this trip one to remember. Both filming methods and hunting methods will be featured on this episode all the while giving viewers a fresh insight into what it really takes to prepare for and film a public land hunt for MeatEater.
“It occurred to me that some folks may never stop to think about the fact that I’m not out there alone hunting on the episodes of the show,” says Steven Rinella, host of MeatEater. “So it seemed natural to go ahead and introduce the crew to our fans as a way of giving them some much needed credit for the hard work they put in. I’m with a crew of great guys, who are super-competent and brave and always standing by my side.”
Steven Rinella’s adventures in Montana continue with new guests throughout the month of April, all culminating in a two-part season finale featuring a first time mule deer hunt for TV personalities Joe Rogan and Bryan Callen on April 28th and May 5th at 9 pm ET/PT.
