North American Hunter Presents: ‘Grand Slam Pursuit’

Production in Partnership with the NWTF is an Intimate Look at the Grand Slam of Wild Turkeys

North American Hunter, the premier community for hunters and outdoor enthusiasts, presents “Grand Slam Pursuit: An intimate look at the Grand Slam of wild turkeys.” The short-form video shadows North American Hunter’s Josh Dahlke for a brief history and background of the Grand Slam—one of turkey hunting’s ultimate achievements. Follow Dahlke as he travels across the country in an attempt to complete the Grand Slam in a single season. Watch the video at HuntingClub.com.

“The wild turkey is more than just a bird, it’s a symbol of American history and one of the greatest conservation success stories of our time,” said Dahlke. “It’s our collective dollars and voice that allow wild turkeys to thrive. I wanted to create this video with the NWTF not to show just another Grand Slam—thousands of hunters have achieved this—but to share my story in an inspiring way. This video also serves to support the mission of the NWTF: ‘Conserve. Hunt. Share.’” To support wild turkey and wildlife conservation in North America, visit NWTF.org/Help_Now

Produced in partnership with the NWTF, the video follows Dahlke as he pursues all four Grand Slam subspecies: Osceolas in Florida, Rio Grandes in the Hill Country of Texas, Merriam’s in northwestern Nebraska, and Easterns in Minnesota and Wisconsin. The video shows Dahlke’s challenges as he struggles to complete the Slam in one season.

Special thanks to the NWTF, Jim Casada, Dave Harbour (Jr.), Kevin Hurst and Gene Smith for providing supporting information and content.
