WFN: World Fishing Network, the leading entertainment destination and digital resource for anglers throughout North America, premieres three shows in May: WFN exclusives Guided with Mark Melnyk and Belize Outdoors along with American Outdoors coming to the network for the first time.
Lifelong angler Mark Melnyk returns with his latest series, Guided with Mark Melnyk, taking viewers on a behind-the-scenes adventure where he is trained by some of the top fishing guides in the industry starting Thursday, May 2 at 7:30 p.m. ET. This WFN exclusive takes an insider’s look at what it takes to make it as a professional fishing guide as Melnyk immerses himself in this eclectic, competitive and often dangerous world.
“We all know about fishing guides, but do you know what it takes to really be one? I’m on a mission to see if I have what it takes to join the ranks of the hardest working professionals in the fishing world,” said Melnyk. “It all adds up to experience; as I learn, I want the viewer to do the same and really get a feel for the work and effort a guide puts in every time he or she is on the water. This show has it all – the job, the lifestyle, the guests and the fish – showcasing everything to get you Guided.”
Watch a talented group of anglers spend 13 days at the world’s second largest reef fishing for tarpon, bonefish, wahoo, tuna, barracuda and permit on another WFN original production, Belize Outdoors. Locals, travelers, experts and beginners – everyone comes away with a catch in the tropical paradise of Belize starting Saturday, May 4 at 6:30 p.m. ET.
One of the longest running outdoors programs on TV today, American Outdoors, comes to WFN Thursdays in May at 8:30 p.m. ET as host Wade Middleton entertains and informs viewers by documenting adventures filmed in many of the best destinations in the world.
Five series: Collegiate Bass Fishing Championship Series, Fishing Texas, Inside Sport Fishing, Flats Class and Cabela’s Fisherman’s Handbook return to WFN with new seasons and fresh episodes for May.
