Blind Horse Knives Announces their Monthly Special for May 2013: The Bone Trapper!

The Bone Trapper will be a great knife for everything from field dressing and skinning game to bushcrafting around camp or to use for every day carry. This knife is made from 1/8 inch D2 tool steel that is 5 ¾ inch long to create an heirloom quality work piece. The blade is 2 3/8 inch long with a 3 ¼ inch handle. There is a ¼ inch brass lined lanyard tube. Hand peened brass pins and industrial strength epoxy seal the scales to the blade. The spine is sharpened for striking a fire steel or scraping bark. The bone was dyed medium brown and polished to shine. This clip point knife is pointy and comes razor sharp.

The Bone Trapper is a saber grind with a secondary convex sharpened edge for superior strength and edge retention. This makes it very easy to resharpen using a strop or fine sandpaper on a mouse pad. Both will “give” a little to conform to the convex edge.

The first 100 knives will be marked with an “LE” to denote Limited Edition. Don’t wait; the Bone Trapper will sell out fast at the price of $95 plus S&H. These knives are handmade in the USA with as many local materials as possible.

Check out the new sheath!

Included with the bone trapper is a handmade leather inverted neck sheath. The sheath is made with vegetable tanned leather sides, heavy duty thread, and quality rivets and snaps.
